Freedom! Greek Independence Day

Greek Independence Day on March 25th commemorates the nation’s declaration of independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1821 after being occupied for 400 years.  These photos were taken today at the Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade in historic Greektown.
